Individual Therapy

Elizabeth Tschoegl Services - Clinical Social Worker - Washington D.C. - Individual Therapy

Working one-on-one, we will develop a tailored approach to address your needs and help you work towards your goals. We will do this using a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques. Learn more about CBT here.

Most clients choose to meet on a weekly basis for a standard 45-minute session, but we will decide together the length and duration of treatment based on your needs and goals. Contact me to schedule a free 20-minute consultation.

Elizabeth Tschoegl Services - Clinical Social Worker - Washington D.C. - Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is a critical component to strengthening and deepening your clinical practice. Using a collaborative approach I assist supervisees, from licensed graduate social workers to experienced practitioners, increase competence in therapeutic technique and skills development, case conceptualization, transference and use of self, and ethical and professional standards, in order to develop your own clinical style.

Sessions for licensed graduate social workers (LGSW) working towards independent licensure are 60 minutes per week, but the frequency of sessions will be decided together based on your needs.  Contact me to schedule a free 20-minute consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you currently accepting new clients?

I am currently accepting new clients. I am seeing clients in person and online through virtual, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platforms.

How do I get started?

I offer a free 20-minute consultation prior to us scheduling a first appointment, which gives us an opportunity to get to know each other, for me to hear more about what brings you into therapy, and to share with you my approach to working with clients. After our initial consultation, should we decide to work together, I will send you a link to my secure electronic medical records system to complete the initial intake forms and to schedule our first session together!

Do you take insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly, but my services may be reimbursable through your plan’s out-of-network mental health benefit. I always encourage clients to contact their insurance provider prior to beginning treatment to verify coverage. I also provide all clients with a detailed monthly invoice that includes treatment codes and all other necessary information to submit a claim for reimbursement. Call me and we can talk more about it.
